The man at the end is Horace Goodspeed from the episode "The man behind the Curtain". He belonged to the Dharma Initiative and he is the guy who brought Ben and his dad to the island. He was killed by the poisonous gas of Ben, who found him dead, sitting on a bench with his nose bleeding.

a good theory but unfortunately not true, the producers have said that jacob has been seen before, but in a non-speaking role. this would rule out Abadon

I think that the black man who pulled Locke's wheelchair and told him to go find himself in the Austrailian outback is Jacob. From Locke's birth, if you noticed the man who is a part of the others at the hospital when Locke's mom and grandma visited him, Jacob has had an interest in Locke since his birth. The black man, Jacob, knew that Locke would get on the oceanic six and destiny would bring him to the Island, i.e the crash. Thats just my theory

Jenbojenbojeno : Yes Horace was in this episode. You must have gone somewhere. Horace, came to Locke in a dream and told him that he had been dead for 12 years and that if Locke found him he would find Jacob. So Lock went to the burial site of the Darma Initiative and locked for Horace's corpse. In the pocket of what Horace wore was a map to the cabin.

john locke will have a simiair life than jacob and locke will become the new jacob

locke will encounter horris and goin the cabin and jacob will be with richard alpert and locke will torch the cabin and they'll let hurley go to the beach and they'll go to the temple preparing for the face off with the freighter guys.
