  • I personally know several very bright PA which actually are up to date and skilled more than some attending doctors. Do not underestimate them. Plenty of them are bright, compassionate and hard working people.

  • it is not physician's Assistant it is physician assistant, for crying out loud.

  • This is extremely outdated and a Very Poor representation Of Physician Associates. PAs have been providing very high quality/advanced health care for 45 years. Yes, PAs do practice under physician supervision. In my case, this means, while I take care of the patients here, in my emergency room, my "supervising"doctor who is about an hour west from me, can take care of her patients in her emergency room. And I dont have a "minor" emergency room here at my hospital...it is just me and a nurse.

  • This video is lame. How could anyone give it a thumbs up??

We do not belong to a doctor, we are physician assistants, not physician's assistants. Certificate and BS programs are pretty much gone and the typical degree is a masters. Do you really have any idea what we are or what we do?

  • rawr

  • ha ha. we can Rx, but not Dx. That makes a lot of sense. "I'm not really sure I know what you have, Mr. Smith, but I'm going to write a Rx for you. I've given up on telling people what I do." :)

They also forgot the often overlooked elementary school certificate that some PAs have.

  • Its physician assistant... Thanks for making more people uniformed. 49 of 50 states require graduation from an accredited program? all 50 states require that. CareerRX is a sad excuse for information.

  • doesn't CareerRx know that it's "physician assistant" not "physician's"..........?? ughhhh come on!

  • Not very accurate description at all! I'm a PA student and I'm not sure what degree they are trying to depict here.
