Nearly half of Idaho is classified as rangeland. Of that, 80% is public and 20% is privately owned. These lands are interspersed and fences do not indicate land ownership. Fences and gates are important management tools to keep livestock in the correct pasture and the correct time of year. Please close gates when recreating on rangelands (either public or private) to help keep the livestock where they belong. This television spot is brought to you by the Idaho Rangeland Resource Commission asking you to Care for Idaho's rangelands and Share them responsibly with others.
