Psychiatry has gone so far afield from actual science, to the point where it's been replaced by "opinion" and peer consensus. It wouldn't be such a big deal if the industry wasn't in bed with the pharmaceutical industry and Wall Street. Sounds like science fiction, right? Once upon a time, submarines only existed in fiction, too. So, pay attention. Go read or re-read "Brave New World." Huxley saw the writing on the wall. But it's up to all of us to erase it and write something else.

this is dumb. Theres obviously some gray area here. Some children need drugs to just function in life. Others dont. The problem with diagnosis and drugs is that psychiatrists dont know shit about the brain. They can only speculate.....makes me sick..psychological health is the most important kind of health, yet its the most underfunded. When people think of psychology they think of sigmund freud and psychoanalysis...its so much more than that.

@jesusourhealer You should go to our website, cchrint.org and review the page called Psychiatric Disorders. There is an abundance of information there. As well as the side link in red, on psychiatrists and MDs validating the fact there are absolutely no tests to prove any mental disorder is the result of a biochemical/medical abnormality.
