A bit of a sloppy cover of Pink Floyds Hey You in high strung/Nashville tuning. Sorry about the middle bit, I suddenly forgot where I was.

Tuning is low to high EADGBE
String set is .010 .014 .008 .012 .018 .010 (high to low)

BTW, this guitar used to belong to Nancy Wilson of Heart. It's a '78 Washburn, no model number as it was custom made for Nancy who later traded it with Howard Leese. Howard toured with Heart with this guitar and you can see it featured on the Road Home DVD on "Cherry Blossom Road". I received the guitar from Howard set up for Nashville tuning! A great guitar!

  • Hi , how u tuned nashville ?

  • @koolize Nashville is the same EADGBE it's just that the octaves are different. They're all the high strings - ie the higher strings in a 12 string set with the low E set to be exactly the same as the high E

  • Very Nice. How on earth did you get one of Nancy's guitars? I think she is about the best acoustic player on the planet. Again, very nice job.

  • A friend of mine is good buddies with Howard Leese and when Howard offered him the guitar he thought of me knowing that I'm a huge Nancy fan (she was my guitar hero when I was a teen). It's a fabulous guitar considering it's 'just a Washburn'.

  • It's the only cover for the "Hey you!" on youtube that's almost like the real one.

    nice job

  • Good luck playing a standard tuned electric guitar solo on a Nashville tuned acoustic guitar

  • Optimum!

  • BROVO , NICELY PREFORMED. AFTER HAVING MY LEFT WRIST CRUSHED IN 04 IM GETTING MY PLAYING BACK AND PREFER PLAYING PINK FLOYD. THIS IS MY NEXT SONG AND YOU JUST GOT ME STARTED ON IT .THANK YOU

  • NICE SONG :D

  • @Kumagoro314 Good point, but it wasn't meant to play lead in this tuning so you have to have another guitarist or some way to loop the acoustic part with your electric strapped on for the lead. This song looses the haunting sound if you try it in standard tuning and is a lot harder to play.David himself said he was amused by all of the wrong transcriptions of this song when the chord voicings were much more simple than trying this in standard 440 tuning using a capo.He said he kept it simple.

  • i don't understand :S i watched a tab like this!, but i said "this is wrong" now i know that tab was good!, is fucking amazing, congratulations

  • Fantastic and thank you for posting!

  • Yes! This is exactly what David Gilmour did on the record. Nice job.
