Im looking after a hamster and it took him about a week to get used to me and today I got 3 Russian Dwarf hamsters and they already come up to me.. Ruassian hamsters are very Friendly.. It depends what type of hamster it is but generally a week or so :)

@pairgirl21 Give them some time to get used to everything first give them a couple of days and try to hold them if they keep biting you or running away that means they're scared of you. I hope this helped

i hvae 2 syrain longhaird shorttail hamsters i got it for my 12 b-day 2 days ago can someone tell me how loong it will take for them to get used to me becausei want to hold them with out them both trying to run or bite me....so someone please anwser the question?

i have a teady bear hamster which never bit me. he loves me i clean his feet once in a while. he stays with me. he got to fat, i cut down on his food to half a bowl and he still loves me

@SuperOoshka Lol they're a different type of hamster than the dwarf ones that you're probably used to seeing.
These kinds of hamsters are actually normal sized and they come from the wild European hamster which are a little bigger.
I don't really like dwarf hamsters that much though.

@TheCrazySpot well you were complaining because rodents don't love you, so i'm sipmly suggesting that you get a good pet like a dog.
all my hamsters were mean because they got to fat and we cut down on there feed so they start biting us XD
But my rats love me XD
