  • It's not Bobby Orr's scoring that amazes most people to this day; as phenomenal as he was ... his records remain unbroken.

Remove Bobby's scoring from the equation for just a minute ... the boy's natural, fluid movement and sheer speed, his ability to skate and out-skate {and stop and turn on a dime}, his penalty-killing, stick handling, his stamina and toughness were simply mind-blowing!

Bobby Orr was a marvel to behold!

  • When Wayne Gretzky was playing with LA Kings, Cap Raeder was in the office watching Bobby Orr game footage -- he and invited Gretzky to sit and join him.

Gretzky watches for a few minutes; then gets up and walks out. When Raeder asks Gretzky where he's going or why he's leaving -- Gretzky says, “I can’t watch this. People compare me to him? People say I’m better than him? There’s no way I’m better than this guy.”

  • @KarmicOmen I'm from Montreal and hate the Boston Bruins with all my guts. However, I get goosebumps everytime I see a Bobby Orr's video (highlights or not ; just seeing him play looks legendary). He truly is the greatest that ever played. You couldn't have ended your video with a better play than that pass to Bucyk that ended with a goal. Orr would probably say he just tried to throw the puck near the net, which makes him even greater. When will there be a DVD set of the 10 best Bruins games?

  • @p0775567

Given your Montreal location ... barring the rare exception, it stands to reason that you're probably not a Bruins fan. While I do feel you could have spared me the declaration that you hate my team ... with all your guts, no less ... I do thank you for viewing.

Yes, Bobby was truly amazing -- simply the best; hence the term "Phenom".

  • could of easily played into his 40's if his knees held up,could only imagine the records then

  • I wish someone would put together a video of his penalty killing...you cannot believe it until you see it for yourself.

  • Does not matter if Bruins fan or not this guy was the best NHL player ever. Will never be anyone like him ever again in the NHL. His records will stand the distance of time. No other player played well in their position like Bobby Orr not even Gretzky. He back-checked,could score, could pass, and could even stand up for himself. Cough*.. Gretzky never could stand up for himself and had goons to defend him.

  • @BranniganE8 If we fans of Orr's treat him like he walked on water it's because he played hockey like a magician. I never seen a hockey player who loved to play the game more than Orr. How else could he have played, and at such a high level, with one knee he could hardly walk on and another that bothered him. He walked on water to save it for the use in icepacks for his bad knees.

  • Thanks for the video Bobby orr is the greatest ever

  • @KarmicOmen

Very well put and very true! To fans old and new Orr walks on water. Bobby revolutionized the way the game is played, he's the best player the NHL has ever seen. There's not been anyone like him. Great video!
