wow not a single tiny bit of jesus being forced down your throat by a creepy priest during confession when you were like 8 and didn't know what he was touching your shouldrs alot? you must've not had a creepy pedo-priest

Nope, never a Catholic so never experienced confession and never had a priest. I was never really exposed to religion that much. All I got was in class during "Scripture" lessons (Primary school), but even then it was more fun than usual lessons (probably because it was really all about fairy tales!)

One stereotype of atheists is that they all had negative religious experiences or they don't want to be moral. Neither stereotypes are true.

Ah thanks for the response! I agree about the finding of reason, I didn't want to imply that any of my views are a reaction to any particular bad experience. Thanks also for the encouragement! I'll do 8 or 9 miles this weekend and I'll be well on my way to a half marathon in march. :)
