I went to two job fairs at starbucks and even though I worked at a starbucks inside of a grocery store, they didn't hire me. I am the perfect barista. I hate starbucks. I've been unemployed for a year now.

I loved starbucks, was a very good barista, went to job fairs and jumped through hoops - i never got my job back. So, I guess I am with ya on that.

damn, a week ago I was supposed to come in to wrk at strbux, on a sunday and I was so messed up that I couldnt get up and wrk that mrning, my manager called and I didnt pick up, but I left a message explaining what happened, and he then left me a message saying that he wants to talk to me next week BUT he really wants me to come back to work. am I going to get fired, I dunno?

Oh man... I hope they give you a second chance. this was my first time ever doing anything like this. I guess it depends on your manager. I guess my situation was unfair. I think you might get written up? If you do, don't stress it... Please let me know how it goes and good luck to you.

Your situation angered me. We are a planet of human beings,without exacting situations like machines. I've been there, depending on a person who never showed. The anger was repressed, but simmered at the thought.Your sincerity was and is obvious, they should have cut you some slack. Fools.

No offense, but I really don't think a store manager would fire you just for that. That is completely irrational and I highly doubt they would let you go just because some other girl screwed up. tbh Your manager might have been looking for a reason to fire you and then decided that this was the perfect excuse. I saw that happen to a lot of people, including myself. If they don't like you, they just wait for a tiny infraction and then fire you "for that".

Such is the dark nature of Starbucks.

@manicjupiterflute I worked at Starbucks for 4 years, and you are exactly the type of self-entitled customers that every Starbucks barista HATES, hence why it seems like no one cares about you, cause they don't. You know the cup and sleeve alone cost like 30 cents? Cheap-ass. Go buy some Tazo Chai at Whole Foods so you can microwave it at home and leave those poor baristas alone.

Just filled in my application...working at starbucks inside a target wooo
