You are amazing, but you go so fast. I'm really impressed, I thought I knew excel well until I watched you. Thanks for teaching me so much!

Hello Mr. Excel,
I wanted to know if you can create a pivot table in a new workbook an pull the data from from other source.
Means - Data in workbook1 and pivot in workbook2.

Yes, in Excel 2007 / 2010 start in the workbook that you want the PivotTable to be in, then in step one click the dialog button that says "use external data source". In 2003 the dialog button says "External data source".

Hi Mike, seen a few of your YT vids - have to say, awesome stuff, really, really engaging. I'm having a few problems with something I'm trying to develop, which I guess would be pretty simple for you - would you have the time to answer a few questions? Thanks in advance

Oh man, I not only learned the trick I was looking for, but I also learned about F4, formatting percentage and decimal with the Home ribbon... it's the sub-tricks of day-to-day formula entry that make these videos so great for the Excel novice.
