Allison Maslan http://www.myblastoff.com/ of Blast Off Life and Career Coaching discusses the flip side of losing your job. What seemingly appears to be a terrible scenario may be the exact jolt you need to take matters into your own hands and become an entrepreneur. Many successful companies such as Hyatt, Burger King and Microsoft were launched in a down economy. 87% of people polled said they dislike their jobs. Since we spend almost 75,000 hours during our working life, shouldn't we love our work?
Allison Maslan has been an entrepreneur for 25 years building and running 8 successful companies.
She is also the author of Blast Off, The Surefire Success Plan to Launch Your Dreams Into Reality. Life Coach San Diego

  • Dear Doublesart. I am sincerely sorry that you are struggling. I believe you misinterpreted the message in my video. I have never had a stable job. I have been an entrepreneur for the past 25 years. I built 9 businesses on my own as a single mom starting out with no money, no 401k and no support whatsoever. I raised my daughter on my own until I met my soulmate 5 years ago. I teach people to create their own security rather than depending on a job or the economy.

    Take good care.

    Allison

  • You said all the stuff I needed to hear. Thank you

  • If you gotta work don't work for no one

  • i couldn't agree more..its freakin hard to do something that you dont even like to do. I dont even know what to think to make me love what im doing. losing my recent job made me realize that its not the career that i really want to pursue... Its just that.. im afraid that i wont be able to find another job that i really wanted due its limited demand.

  • easy for a well established person to say that having the luxury and comfort of a job with a stable income. Try telling that to a struggling working class family mired in debt. Do you think they care about the Dow Jones Industrial Average is only making lower highs or if the S&P500 will not be able to retrace back to 1200? Some do not even have their 401ks to fall back on.

  • Allison, you rock!

  • Very nice video!

  • Great message and production on this. Love the graphics and transitions! You look great!

  • Good Job on the Video Allison. We started Single Throw in 2001, which turned into a bad economy, but still we turned out very successful. Keep up the great coaching.

    Jim

  • Excellent video. I'm ready to start my new path to success!
