For the first time on film they tell the story of what it was like being in one of the World's most celebrated and groundbreaking bands. What it was like working with MORRISSEY and JOHNNY MARR. Their unique song writing process and the relationships they formed in the five years they were together. Andy Rourke talks openly and honestly about the perilous drug addiction which threatened not only his position in one of the World's greatest bands but also his life. With contributions from Peter Hook (Joy Division / New Order) Buzzcocks, Mark E Smith (The Fall) Kaiser Chiefs, Matt Osman (Suede) and many more. Filmed over three years in the UK, Europe and the USA. The film looks INSIDE THE SMITHS from the perspective of two people who were there!
