Close up of my CB build.
plenty of attention to detail and lots of hard work to get this 33 year old bike back up and running in tip top state. great bike. lowered frame by shorter rear suspension. cut tripple tree in half and raised top location of suspension to drop frame height bu about 1 1/4 inches. chrome everything lights gauges etc etc. spoked wheels still to come.

  • most of the bits came off ebay. mirrors ebay cheap from china. speedo and tacho are standard just in chrome cover bits i got from autobarn (about $150 each tho) had to file a bit of the plastic off and wrap them in duct tape to get the covers to clamp on to hold them. not sure of brand but autobarn had to order them in. so ask there. exhaust came of ebay too from memory its MAC or something. came from USA but off ebay so check out US ebay.com. think it was about $400.

  • just checked my ebay history, ballisticdecals is the seller i got them from.

check his store or ask if he's still got it. i think it was a wider sticker product he had listed but ask and got one i wanted. hope that helps

  • Hey, fantastic build! Ive got a '79 CB400T fully custom. I am looking into suspension upgrades and noticed your rears are aftermarket with the piggyback reservoirs. What kind are they and do you like them? Thanks!

  • Hey there, I have the same year bike if you don't mind I have some questions I hope you can answer! Where did you get those bars? They look great, mirrors too! I also really like your speedo and tach set up, I've been searching all over for something to replace the hideous stock one but to no avail. One more if ya don't mind, what kind of exhaust is that? Thanks!

  • Beautiful. I have 78 cb400. So far i have left everything in original state, but yours looks just awesome.

  • bad video it was way to fast, you could see any thing

  • just got myself an 81 cb400e, very cool bike- cant wait to tear into it. I think the first thing i'm going to do is get those low bars, goes well with that bike

  • hey, i've got a 81 cb400t that i am in the proccess of 'cefeing', so i was hoping that you might have some information regarding the following:

    1) keyster or 6-sigma racing carb rebuild kit

    2) where i could get some decent spoked rims

    3) where i could order some cheap uni pod air filters

    4) and any other info would be greatly appreciated

    thanks for your time, cheers!

  • Nice, I'm rebuilding a 78 cb400 to a cafe and I see you also have a Subie :P
