LOL It's not that she'll say or do anything to get elected that has the state protected and subsidized media scrambling to bash her (that's what politicians are supposed to do), it's that she isn't anywhere near as capable of getting away with it as Obama. Elections are essentially contests between government PR firms; they filter for those best able to represent the public face of the state, so that the ruling class may continue using the state to legitimize thievery, murder, and oppression.

lol. Well he's not and he's still the ONLY real chance we have of restoring the sovereignty of We the People, limiting federal gov, and stopping the illegal, illegal IRS actions, and illegal monetary policy.

@satudor Well unless you follow George Carlin's logic. In one of his stand up acts, he argued the point that when everyone else elects politicians that screw up the country, run up debts, etc., all those people that voted are to blame because they put them in office. "I however," Carlin reasons, "didn't vote and have nothing to do with creating this mess, and therefore have every right to complain." Kind of depends on how you look at it, lol.

@clayrains i see...i agree with you as long as you do vote for someone. but i would agree with your professor if you hadn't voted at all. that has been something i've said for a long time...if you don't vote, then don't complain about the winner.

@satudor James Carville & Mary Madeline spoke at our convocation. The next day, she harped at us for not going, saying "we need to be informed." I said I'm not voting for Obama or McCain and not intersted in hearing those two shill for them. She then gave me the "you can't complain if you don't vote" line. I asked her "when did I say I wasn't voting" because I planned on voting third party. Yeah, I'm so in need of her enlightenment, when she doesn't even know there's three others on the ballot.

@satudor A college art professor of mine decided to harp before the class on voting since it was the most important election in history (as if we've never heard that line every 4 years) and she made the same ignorant remark when I said I would not be voting for Obama or McCain. Funny how she feels my little brain is so full of mush that she needs to impart he wisdom to me... when she's too ignorant to realize there are three other candidates on the ballot.

I agree with you SA. IMO you should stress to the still deceived, brain dead how the United States really works. There is no difference in either the Democrats are the Republicans. The idealistic newly elected are indoctrinated into the SINGLE PARTY essentially the government versus the people. The government wants what you have and they're willing to lie profusely to get it. Try getting your Congressman to do something that goes against corporate government policy, telling.

I love it when people here get confused as to whether SA is Conservative or not. That is because too many so-called Conservatives are just neocons who have little to know idea what the Constitution actually says and what the Founding Fathers actually stood for. Understand that, and you will understand SA, Ron Paul and people like me.

A Liberal talking tough? If her husband was in office on 9-11, I would have refused to answer my recall to active duty. I will NEVER fire a weapon on orders from ANY Liberal. If I were face to face with Bin Laden himself and a President Clinton, Kerry, or Gore personally ordered me to shoot, I would throw down my weapon and say "With what? The gun you dont believe in me having?"

@56LC @56LC: It's sad that we are in the position of having to choose between the lesser of two evils instead of the best candidate. But this is & has been the way of US politics in my 35+ years and long before then. If I had to choose between Palin & Hitlery I'll cast my vote for Palin any day. But if I were on some kick to do the PC thing (which I never am) and wanted to see a female in charge I'd rather see Michele Bachmann of Minnesota in the big seat than either of the former.
