could this be modified to swap from left to right but instead of turning the previous leds off it keeps them on? im really interested in building some sequential led tail lights for my car i have the actual lamp with an led board i made to fit inside just wondering hot to get the sequential effect similar to this for turn and brake. also if i hit the brake the lights would have to stay on after doing a single sequential sweep the turning off and on of the blinker would make it work there
You can do it with an atmel or pic microcontroller and a good LED driver or transistor. It's far easier to use a microcontroller than the handful of digital chips it takes to make one like that.
I like the arduino which allows the atmel to be easily programmed and once you have it done you can build a bunch of them cheap.

Hi man, i want to do the same, but a i cant get the knight rider light anywhere, because im from slovakia...but can i made this at home?if yes, can you send me a link with a electrical schematic?
