  • How fantastic - two stunning singing actresses Sarah Walker and Elizabeth Vaughan battling it out at the beginning of the scene!

  • I'm very lucky , i had the honour of singing with sarah at haddo house, when she did this there !!

  • I find it funny that Elizabeth II was disappointed at this première. The music itself draws alot from the grandiose orchestration of the Romantic era, while seeming to keep afloat the more modern melodic lines in the vocal parts. Showing a British monarch in a less favorable light than history may have shone on her probably would never go over well with another British monarch (LOL). Still, the work is beautifully poignant.

  • tnx, and happy new year!

  • o, how wonderful! i recall watching this on tv years ago. what an experience! Walker is such a comitted singing actress - she IS the queen.
