An examination of our history

OurStory as retold by three of our most eminent historian sitting in conversation and hosted by Dick Nobel in a special of his interview and current affairs chat show 'Like It Is'

‎This is a fascinating conversation between three intellectual giants all historical professors of note. These men have made incalculable contributions to black/African empowerment and by default into the Black Liberation struggles of the 80's and 90's. These three Africans have madetremendous contributions to liberating the minds of continental and diasporan Africans across the globe and down the decades. Dr Ivan Van Sertima, Dr. John Henrik Clark and Dr.Yosef A.A. (Alfredo Antonio) Ben-Jochannan. Live talking OurStory Many of us know and teach our children and probably take for granted a lot of what is discussed here but to understand the importance of this debate you must remember that this broadcast is from the early 1980s. It is from these eminent historians and their peers that our conscious revolutionary truth and knowledge has sprung

Enjoy and pass on:

  • @geeaiye Almost every invention has its roots in Africa. Africans(negroes, if you will) are also heavily involved with some very modern devices. Look up Mark Dean and Thomas Mensah, to name a few.

  • @geeaiye The problem is upbringing. Many Africans have forgotten how to teach their children to respect and contribute to, community above all else. We are copying oyibo in his individualistic, selfish, greedy and ego-centric existence. Having succeeded in corrupting those who run things among us, he is now practising our culture, by keeping his people close and excluding everyone else. All I can say is educate your children on their history and all else will fall in place.

  • @energypower1 Africa is better than Japan! All kinds of crops can be grown in Africa. The sun shines all year round in Africa. Many natural resources abound. The people are highly intelligent, physically fit, resourceful and resilient. The land mass is "almost" devoid of natural disasters.

For all the earthly "goodies" that the Japanese possess, do you know how many commit suicide a day? If these "goodies" bring happiness, why do all these western countries have a suicide epidemic?

  • Did Van Sertima ever debate his critics on his Before Columbus views? If so, where can some video be found of these debates?

  • engerpowertwat1 did you read my post go sit don somewhere and bury your head in the sand you dustmite

  • energypower1 you are an ignorant fool where did i say africa is better than japan i said japan jas less resources than africa but japan is the most dominate country so read you stupid ignorant eneryfool1

  • @geeaiye you want to compare japan to afrika ? Based on that alone I refuse to entertain your ignorance !

  • How long are we going to blame colonialism and say hey it undermined Africa.

Na colonalism tell nija to embezzle 408 billion dollars.

America gave japan the blue print to build cars what happened they make the best cars in the world.

Japan took 40 years to dominate the world and they have no resources like Africa so what is the difference .

  • Femi all this does not answer the question name one think that was built in Africa
