I don't see how this phone can compete with the iphone when there is almost no information about it on their web site, and ZERO advertising. It is supposed to be released today at Telstra but not a word about it on their web site.

DUDE because this is not the final product, just a beta model or even still a prototype model, which is not finalized, ofcourse it WILL be finalized in the final product, else you would hear people complain much more about this. get real dude, these phones would REALLY suck if they wud have been slow like this! its a common fact that the prototype/beta phones are allways slower and have some bugs

Why does he need to swipe the screen 2 or 3 times before it does anything. This seems completely useless no matter how cool the effects look.

It's slow because LG made it bad, not because of Windows Mobile.
Check out HTC made phones, esp their Touch FLO 3D and you will see extremely fluid motion.

Try to close some components in background...
Advertising teams in Expos don't know how to prepare the device and set them up for testing new U interfaces...
They usually skip setting" close" button to clear the ram up from the executable completely, And the device starts to suffer...
(There is no such problem like that because of iPhone OS doesn't have isolated ram pieces (Real multitasking) and after a touch of a button, all thins gone normal)
