I'm not really sure, I think if the police caught you flooring it up to 30 from the traffic lights they would stop you, although you're not going over the speed limit. But street racing here is really rare on the public roads, most of them do it in large car parks when the shops are closed, but there are usually police on the lookout anyway.

But. What if you street race only until the speed limit? Like in a 30mph zone you limit your car's speed to 29? Do you lose your license also?
