palmyra celebrated it's 250th anniversary with a fireworks display on 7/4/2010. During the grand finale tradegy struck. Further research by myself the same company that ran the fireworks display had a simular incident occur in 2007 in Vienna, VA. The company was fined in that case. You can find that video by searching Vienna, VA fireworks here on Youtube

  • I remember this on the news. :/ They did a follow up this year about the boyfriend.

  • u kidding?! people were cheering in the end :S

  • What's the big deal? You're enjoying the show and danger of EXPLOSIONS. Yes it's a shame there was an accident, luckily no one was killed. Chill out.

  • sounds like she said batman @ 2:44

  • awww my school

  • I went to elementary school there, my bro graduated high school there. Wow that was a long time ago...I don't think fireworks where invented yet.

Glad everyone will live to see an other show. Yes accidents happen but if someone gets hurt..especially burned..because of a moron..or maybe several morons...lock em all up...then sue!

  • @Bassfanatic94 Try shooting displays. You get just a little bit closer than that. This appears to be a malfunction with NO criminal intent. The legal limits for audience distance is 70' for each inch inside diameter of the largest mortar. If the crowd was within this distance then someone was not doing their job. Either the fireworks co. or the AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction/fire marshal) who has the final say before a display is allowed to proceed can increase this distance if needed.

  • "...and somehow, sent 11 people to the hospital." somehow?? really?
