whats up Dee Bee i'm having a problem! ive made a wood gas stove too, and really really need your help!! i fired it up the other day and it worked fine for about a minute or two but then the fan started to melt. just need your expertease to help me reposition the fan please help. i did send a email to your adress and some pics of my stove so u can get an ideaof what u think i should do. i havent heard anything as yet. please help kind regards seafoodstew.

Put a a metal collar(tin can) between the bottom of the burn chamber and the fan. I also figured out how to add a heat shield with out blocking the air flow.

What did you use for a fan motor? The saw dust was nearly an explosion try sugar to see what that will do. I want to use a pressure cooker on one of these becasue you can cut cook time in 1/2 and when you are providing all the fuel it is best to reduce your time you have to add fuel. You can use dryer lint in a coffee filter dipped in wax to kick it off use old candles you can get them anywhere people throw them away.
