This is Mike from Inner Second performing the solo from their song "Shadow". Check out more at http://www.innersecond.com and http://www.facebook.com/innersecond

Mike's playing a silverburst Epiphone Les Paul Custom through the top boost channel on his VOX Heritage Handwired AC15H1TV, run at 7.5W (triode mode). He created the backing track using a Yamaha bass and a Roland V-Drums TD-3k electric drumkit, plus the Epiphone for rhythm guitar. The backing tracks and the lead guitar were all recorded using a BOSS BR-600 digital recorder (Shure SM57 for the guitars)

  • Damn dude, what a clean solo (in sound and technique)! I'm going to get this amp for sure at my local shop... Is it pretty versatile when it comes to music styles?

  • @griffinthecity Thanks :) It's a fantastic amp, and is definitely versatile for styles such as rock, pop, and perhaps jazz or country. Probably not really the amp you want for metal as such, but overall it's pretty versatile. Beautiful clean channel too, which I haven't posted on YT yet - be sure to try everything out in store!

  • man that was amazing

  • @supersucker72 Cheers mate :)

  • Great playing! Which Duncans are on the Epi? I intend to buy one to play mainly In Flames and in that case, I 'll have to use 11 gauge strings for the C# and the rest of the low tunings. Would a set of Distortion and Jazz work form me or should I go for EMG 81/85? Thanks.

  • Thanks mate. The pickups are a Pearly Gates (neck) and I think an SH-11 (bridge).... Unfortunately I have never played EMGs so I can't offer any advice on those, sorry! The Duncans are nice, though the SH can be a bit too trebley. And the Pearly Gates might not quite suit In Flames very well :)

  • awesome!!

  • :):):)

  • That's right, I originally thought my Strat would suit the amp best (and it does for certain styles), but I'm really liking the Les Paul through it too - Mike
