All of you are so quick to judge. It is obviously a western european perspective of a large city. It is a love and fascination with the city. I'm certain the director behind this beautiful piece wasn't defining the culture of the city for what it really is, but to admire it and try to understand it from his point of view. I enjoy the use of visual and literal irony; trying to find refuge and quiet solitude in a large bustling noisy city is a reoccurring motif in places like New York.

and honestly, what self respecting Hong Konger would want to be seen with an LV bag anymore? You might as well be announcing to the world that you have no imagination.

So yeah, I live in Hong Kong for 18 years and without mentioning her name, I cannot even recognize the film is about my town.

Absolutely well said!! All you other people are mad!! this is in fact a fabulous piece of descriptive poetry with a grey and somewhat forced mystic feeling about it, a strain for depth.....which is exactly what Parts of Kowloon & the island can feel like at times, how it can make you feel...you have to have lived there to know this feeling. This film was not made for the Discovery Channel, it Louis Vuitton for crying out load its Fashion!!....I heart you forever Hong Kong

or perhaps help is not the right word as it suggests a kind of vampiric dependence on the person who is helping you. And it also suggests the person helping is in some way superior. I've talked my way into a black hole now. Hopefully you can get some rationale from it.

Pardon my wriiting i'm a bit drunk, but I wonder if calling them empty is kind of not helping the problem that we are both frustrated by.

They are feeling something. Something that creates the washed upness and twofacedness, not to mention the systemic supporting of said emotions to the point where such an advert can be created and then condoned, and presumably for some people celebrated.

These are people too not demons. I am incredibly fucked up also. I wish someone could get to me and help.
