This information is from unsolvedmysteries.wikia.com.

On October 28, 1991, a Wheeling emergency operator recieved a call from an unidentified man. He gave the address of a woman whom he claims was not breathing or responding, and later hang up. The caller was correct, twenty-seven year old Jamie Santos was found not breathing in her home. She had been smothered by a pillow and died soon after. Jamie was an exotic dancer in Wheeling, Illinois and lived just down the road from her parents. The night before she was murdered, Jamie called and canceled several appointments for the next day and was never heard from alive again. When police found her body the next day, the had found that their were signs of a struggle, but she was not raped. The police have almost no evidence or leads, except for the unknown caller, and they have been unable to determine if the man might have actually been her killer, or if he was just someone passing by that found Jamie. The man has never been identified and the case remains unsolved.

  • Almost impossible to hear the voice, even maxing everything out I can hardly make it out.

  • @Arelak I'm sorry, but the only suggestion I can offer is plugging in a pair of headphones.

  • @DonLangford2057 my condolences to you. I cant believe they havent solved this - I find it hard that a passer-by did it. I would suspect an ex or someone close - no way would she have let them in (unless he forced after the door was open)

Look for someone who moved away shortly after the event, or behavior was different - became more quiet, started drinking / drugs - usually people do something to cope with the thought of what they did (unless serial killer)

Bless you - hope its solved

  • @Mileyangel321 Miley - with your permission, I would like to cpature this, and re-encode it with louder audio (I think my software can do this - not sure) I want to say I had a video that was actually too loud, and I think it let me re-encode it to lower level. Anyways, I can try if you like.

Thanks so much for uploading these!

  • @turtles 12 I care because she was a friend, her family care's. Just so you know I still think about her and wish they'd find the man who killed her so her family would get closure!

  • i beleave this women was attacked by a madman. GOD bless.

  • @vickiormindyb When people are in a panic they will make stupid choices and mistakes. If it wasn't a mistake calling for help and he accidentally went to far, then obviously he doesn't want to get arrested for murder, so he called for help, even at the risk of being identified. I guess he chose the lesser of the crimes/punishment or he literally felt remorse for what he did. Some people would rather be guilt free than live with a burden.

  • @nirvanalover16 She's dead. 7:15

  • this case is still unsolved

  • who cares if a stripper dies

  • That doesn't make sense. Why would the killer call and have somebody try to save her? She would have been able to identify him if she lived.
