Around 8 months after banning smoking in public places in Jordan, Syrian president Bashar Al-Assad issues a decree banning smoking in public places and public transportation. Those who are caught smoking in public will be paying a fee of 2000 Syrian pounds, which makes around 46 dollars. News were also reported about a new draft of a similar law in Iraq, all of which causing some unease among smokers. With such steps taken in Arab countries, non-smokers are certainly happy about such decisions and are hoping for finally attaining smoking-free Arab streets.

  • @bivona2 Your logic says you should put your mouth on an exhaust pipe of a car and breath in the fumes. If you exercise and eat well you can usually counter act the pollution from city air but add smoking and these days it's harder to get away with it than in the past when pollution was less, less fast fod etc

  • @bouser001 Countries with smoking bans in public places have had an obvious drop in smoking rates, especially without cigarette advertising.

  • @MrJapanese999 who cares if smoking is bad for ur health or not? apparently smokers dont

its a personal choice and i agree that they shoulcnt smoke near non-smokers but i must also agree with bivona2 no matter how much u ban or prohibit stuff, it wont stop. piracy is a crime but do ppl stop hacking databases ou downloading whatever? its the natural cycle, go with the flow

  • @bivona2 does smoking give benefit for u? waste ur money, dangerous for ur heallth, plus u harm orter innocnet people health.

  • Respond to this video... p.s I also have no idea why I commented my first comment towards you it was meant to be a regular comment so what I'm saying is I'm not hatin just educatin but you sound like a witty smart guy and brought a new thought to me and for that thanks fellow brother of the earth

  • @MrJapanese999 I've never thought of it in that light... and you are right in some aspect... however the point I was trying to make was that city air is bad but we still live in cities drinkings bad but ppl still drink smoking cigarettes is bad but ppl still smoke its inevitable and banning it just creates secrecy and crime puts ppl in jail cause what happpens when some idiot decides to smoke anyways and can't pay the fine... but if it were up to me I'd switch em to weed and problem solved

  • @bivona2 if u already know the city air is worse than smoke, why u add it more??

  • First of all polution is not deadly yet its not to the degree yet

  • @MrJapanese999 oh and do real scientific research and you'll find city air is worse than standing by someone smoking a cigarette or joint or w/e man let ppl do their drugs

  • fucking yuppies man you why don't you just ban the right to individuality you stupid drones
