Babylon, the legendary city, is indeed, the most famous ancient city in the whole World. It was the capital of ten Mesopotamian dynasties starting with the dynasty of King Hammurabi (1792-1750 BC); the 6th king of the 1st dynasty; reaching prominence as the capital city of the great kingdom of Babylonia. The last dynasty at which Babylon achieved its zenith, is well known particularly of its 2nd king, the Chaldean King Nebuchadnezzar II (605-563 BC), to whom most of Babylon's existing buildings belongs.
Babylon was renowned for its high, well-fortified walls and for the magnificence of its temples and palaces. Its famous Hanging Gardens, built by King Nebuchadnezzar II for his wife Amytas, were one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Amytas was a Medes and her home was in mountainous country, so the King reputedly had the Hanging Gardens built to allay her homesickness.
The most important of the standing monuments of Babylon today are the Summer and Winter Palaces of King Nebuchadnezzar II, the Ziggurat attached to it, the Street of Processions, the Lion of Babylon, and the famous Ishtar Gate.

  • @Treckorz you will know why Chaldeans or even Coptics are less in numbers.

  • @Treckorz no habeebi, Coptic is not a religiouse sect under Christianity, Coptics (come from egypt or ecptic) their religion is Christianity and their denomination is majority are Orthodox and the minority are Catholics. Yes alot of them got killed alot of them got Arabized just like what happened to the Chaldeans in Iraq, Chaldeans were once a superpower like America today, we are only 1.5 to 2mil world wide. but if you read history of the middel east, during the Persian and Caliphs invastion

  • @Alqoshi huh waiitttttt a second coptics is a sect under christianity. Im not having a religious talk with you bro LOL :p so your saying in todays egy only 10% of the whole population is related to the ancient egyptian and the rest of 90% migrated from south yemen. Then that means yemen will have a population of 0 now lol. Make sure you dont say what u said to me to an egyptian they will be offended lol :p

  • @Treckorz lol no, in Egypt those who relate to ancient Egyptians are the Coptics NOT Arabs. all races mix but if you are calling youself Arab how can you say you a Chaldean? "ya byath ya aswad" Arab is an ethnicity that is the name of an ethnicity

  • @Alqoshi No it makes you an arab only by name, eg: egyptions are arabs by name but there ancestral roots go back to the ancient egyption but also some mixed with arab blood. Exactly like Iraqis, We are arab by name, but our original ethnicity is not known. However assyrians, chaldeans, and mandeans in iraq know what there generation was however even that then is not 100% accurate. So an assyrian today could be a Sumerian who migrated with the akkadian then the assyrians.Tu3roof shinu ga3ed agool

  • @Treckorz you mean when they occupied our land (Mesopotamia-Iraq) then you are an Arab Yemeni, if this makes you proud then you are Yemeni not Iraqi, but if you consider youself an Arab you cant be a Chaldean.

  • @Alqoshi No il stick with iraqi. Because you never know my friend, If you go back thousands of years you maybe could of been half arab yemeni from the south and the man married a chaldean woman in babylon. Its so unpredictable of what we originaly are because we mixed for thousands of years :)

  • @Treckorz if you want to be labled as Chaldean then dont call youself Arab say IM CHALDEAN
