A great Blues Vocalist who also had some Soul. My preferred version of this hit by the Rolling Stones and others.

  • @TheTomppa72 Dude, nobody's arguing that the Stone's version isn't epic. But, I'm sure Mick, Keith & Charlie were stoked to have someone of Johnny's vocal caliber cover one of their lesser known, yet most awesome album tracks ;)

  • THE STONES MAY HAVE WROTE N SANG THIS SONG FIRST, BUT JOHNNY ADAMS DID IT TRUE JUSTICE.

  • @TheNori1 they play this in the club in Jamaica? Towards the end? I'd love to see that.

  • this song right here is one of the biggest song played at any dance hall in Jamaica even today.....the Johnny Adams version that is.

  • i thought the lyric was "good handed evil"

  • Real music

  • Whaaaat a voice! A great song from the stones, but this is the absolute winner-version! Never hear it before and now- one of my favorite songs

  • OMG!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS THAT THIS VERSION HAS ONLY GOTTEN 24,802 HITS??? THIS IS *THE* VERSION! I LOVE THIS MAN!

  • I have the Stones version, but it's Johnny version that just galvanizes me. What a great song he made out of this!

  • So good, so good.

  • @sammyjny Second, you have to admit. While the lyrics of the original are better, the performance and the recording of this one, do the song allot of justice. But then again, that is just my opinion.

  • @sammyjny First of all you cant do a rendition and expect the latter version to sound like the original, for instance there some very good rendition's of "Smells like Teen Spirit", like Tori Amos's version and Patti Smith, and there rendition was there own and completly different. But if you do like what, She who shall not be named (Miley Cyrus) did, and try to sing it exactly like the original, you are just going to end up butchering the song.
