i always had suspicion sparks were taking the piss of the eighties. if these songs came out today it would clearly be parody of the 80's "sound".

We in America missed out on a great group. Sparks, despite their originality and creative genius, could never find the same success here at home as they have overseas. Proof that once we get past the top 40 pap, we can enjoy some real musical treasures.

These guys get better and more original as they get older - how many bands can you say do that? Most peak in their 20s and go down. Amazing!
