Awesome song, insightful lyrics. I'm trans, not black, but I testify all the time that "You wouldn't understand it if you ain't never been oppressed". My people were executed by the Nazis, my kids get bullied in school until they kill themselves, my brothers and sister get beat to death with baseball bats, and have their homes burned to the ground, and the local Sheriff is probably the one holding the match.
