Normally I post several RC plane flying videos a week and it's now mid-summer so what's the problem? Why so few new videos?

Well it's the damned summer weather!

Maybe it's global warming, maybe it's just bad luck but we've had relentless rain for weeks now and the forecasters predict it will last until mid-march.

Damn!

Never mind, we'll try to sneak out every time there's a brief brake in the rain so stay tuned --- more vids are coming, including the February jet meeting next month which is always good for some exciting footage!

Meanwhile, cruise over to my RCModelReviews channel and see what's happening there.

  • Bruce! Why the missing down pipe, yer walls must be soaking. Handy chap like you would have it fixed in no time. Your misses must be given' you a right old ear'ol bashing leaving it like that, looks like a bleedin' shanty town ! Back to your summer, ours are always like this in Bonny Jockland, you become accustom it after ten years..

  • @1stMrSceptical This is a rented house -- we had planned to buy a house but the old sheila's medical bills have stuffed up that idea for some time to come.

  • ive just looked up your weather forcast for next week and it looks like your in for another wet week

  • @TheSupersparks123 I was freezing my manly-parts off this morning when I got up at 6am. There's a 35kph wind forecast for today but only showers (makes a break from relentless rain and storms) so I'm heading off to the flying field. See if I can get some video. It might just be a bunch of people huddled together for warmth and sheltering from the showers though.

  • Who's been super-heating the ionosphere again?

  • @AltechMYOB What pulsejet? I see no pulsejet? Nope... no pulsejets here (but stay tuned ;-)

  • Now I know why they call it the land of the long white cloud LMAO!!!!!! Hey Bruce your runways might be dryer if you connect the downpipes LOL - Marty

  • That is funny. I live in Colorado, USA, and it's the middle of winter here... it was 60 and sunny on Sunday... 20 and SNOWING on Monday! Be thankful your weather doesn't have multiple personality disorder like ours :)

  • The winter over here this year looks quite similar to your summer.

No freezing, no snow, just endless rain. :-(

  • That's okay. I woke up to 13 degrees this morning.

  • Don't be a sissy, I live in Oregon USA ,at the mouth of the Columbia River Gorge,If I wait for calm winds and dry weather,I would never get to fly!

  • @xjet Bruce! Sorry to hear about your wife's illness, here's to yer mate, and wishing your misses a speedy return to good heath.. Hugh aka The Norff Lunden laddie, marooned in the outer boondocks of Stirlingshire.... I must have been a bad boy in another life :0)

  • xjet-You have well said, the owner must repair .... we are sorry for your wife, first she and then the rest, we wish that she solve its problems soon. Then ... I also like the sound of water, if you do not fly you can make video Kart or engine technology lesson or video of NZ rain ... it's all right :-D best greetings...

  • Send that rain to us!!
