  • John, Thanks for taking the time to answer my comment. At 3:50 into the vid , you talk about doing nice intro and unison, and briefly you move way up the neck and mention the "other " knee levers , and you say, "It's just a nice sound" , and it certainly is. I was hoping , at some point you could explain, what strings, what frets and what knee/pedal combo. that run is. I like your style /approach. Thanks

  • @superorangeish 2nd string with the lever engaged that lowers it a tone and 6 string with your A pedal pressed will give you the sound you want, pick both together then let off pedal and knee lever at the same time...... hope this helps JD

  • At the point in the video when you start doing the unison runs ,Please explain those bends in detail, when you go up in octive and start bending the knee levers. Thanks

  • @superorangeish Hi, Sorry but I don`t really understand the question? all I am doing is picking out the notes of the chord one at a time... if you have found the chords.....then you have found the notes I am playing.... go back and play those chords some more>>>>> then try to pick the notes out....

  • HI there, John, do you use palm or pick blocking?

can you make a video on that please

  • Hi,thanks for looking... I am sorry I don`t know how / if I do any kind of blocking whatever it is?? i do it on automatic pilot

not something I have ever studied or tried to learn.....IMHO get those chords figured out the rest and the smoothness will come afterwards on its own.

    John

  • Hi John - I'm still playin through the peavey nashville you borrowed for Perth theatre! - a quickie question tho - you still getting strings into the country etc? Hogan's quiet just now, need to change but don't fancy the £25!! quoted by local shop for an imported set!

  • Thanks for the lesson. I'm in the same boat as you as far as no musical theory behind me. Have been playing regular guitar since I was a boy is my only background. I'm so glad there are several of u guys on here to help a beginner. Put my msa in the truck couple weeks ago. It's amazing what practicing everyday will do for ability. Thanks again & please keep the beginners lessons coming

  • Thanks John looking forward to more...
