Mrs Cooke, My name is Karen Purnell and I am part of the group that made this music video.
I would just like to let you know that prior to filming, we were in contact with your daughter explaining what we had to do for our coursework. She then replied and gave us her permission to use the track. Our brief was to create a music video to promote an unknown artist, and this is what this video does. Jem has since emailed me asking me to change the wording of the intro, which will be done asap.

Unfortunately, whoever this singer is - it's a rip off of my daughter Jem Cooke - it is her voice and her song. Both registered with PRS. So pay up or take this not anywhere near so beautiful as my daughter person off!!!

This is the Media coursework for some of my A Level Media students. They asked Jem's permission to use her song via email and Jem agreed. I am not sure if they told her it would be going on YouTube. If Jem wants me to take it down I will remove it immediately. After that, the only other people who will see it will be the Oxford and Cambridge exam board.
