@GamingLeeLee ok thanks :)

@ISN1P3DI that would be a very good place to start, scales and chords form the very basics of music so even if all you do is learn other peoples songs learning them is very benefitial. As a friend word of advice try not to learn ALL of them at once, people often try learning all of them and get overwhelmed. Start with basic major and minor scales/chords and once you feel youre good with them advance from there, dont be to worried about arpeggio's at 1st, they're easier to understand later on

@GamingLeeLee ok, thanks. ive been unable to play guitar for the past 6 or so months and are looking to get back into it and improve my playing. i was thinking of starting out learning all the chords/scales and arpeggios because i never got around to doing it the first time. would that be a good place to start?

@ISN1P3DI basically practice practice practice and a metronome and a tutor if you can afford one. You have to start slow if you want to play fast. The key for me was exercises like finger exercises, hammer on - pull off exercises and the like with a metronome starting slow and steadily building speed and playing songs to.
If you cant afford a tutor many music shops sell great quality tution material which is far times better than the kind of site this dudes advertising can give you.

@ISN1P3DI Change your picking hand, use only your wrist to pick. and that's it. even when playing fast use ONLY your wrist.

@GamingLeeLee what would you recomend for building speed and technical skill?

as a guitarist yourself its really not good to take advantage of beginners by making them think theyll really gain something from those stupid ass video clips i am disappointed in you

christ i hate shit like this..."heres a quick way to do this you will increase in skill in months!" ... bullshit.
You get far more benefit from a guitar tutor who can teach you as you go not some video clips on the web from a dude claiming to be awesome...
Nothing on guitar can be learnt quickly. It has to be done slow...
