A proper way to prepare your absinthe with a fountain. NEVER use any flame or fire with absinthe. Just slow, steady cold water and you're set. Enjoy.

  • Where did you get that fountain thing?

  • @ionpaintballlover Try La Bleue Clandestine or Strong 68. They are both very good as well.

  • @jamesepace Usually 3,4 or 5 to one depending on the strenght of the absinthe and your personal taste. You should really try to order from Europe for a good absinthe though, The level of thujone is higher and noticably different.

  • @ionpaintballlover Lucid may be disappointing. Not bad or fake in any regards, but quite mediocre for its price. It's an 'experimental' brand from absinthe's early revival. If you live in the U.S., then go for Vieux Carré, Pacifique, Marteau or Leopold Bros, for example.

  • What is the ratio of water to absinthe?

  • iv never had absinthe. any advice on a brand i should try? iv seen lucid but for $60 i better hallucinate! (i know you dont) i was just wondering of there was one that was better than the other

  • I took a few shots of pure absinthe (without any preparation) and believe me I was "dead" all night lol. I couldn't stand up on my feet.

  • @BeingHumanAintEasy It's made up. There's absolutely no record of burning absinthe prior to the 1990's. There's a vintage painting with burning sugar on a coffee cup, but that's café royale.

  • very twee , maybe a cohiba as well.

  • I remember reading that this was the proper way to prepare absinthe but it was acceptable amongst french "Boheimans" to burn it.
