Well it was a hot day and a lot of stuff happened = go figure. Your gonna have to forgive me for not putting music with the opening & ending credits. It was a long day.

Anyway take a look, offer some advice, laugh, cry, whatever. Its all good cause I learned something.

Peace,

Steve aka AH

p.s. BTW it was 100 degrees when I started installing the system in my truck - yea lots of fun.

  • The oxygen sensor is in the exhaust, not the intake. That thing in the air intake tube is the intake air temperature sensor.

  • Hi jforb,

Thanks for the correction, I appreciate it (see folks I told you I wasnt the sharpest knife in the drawer).

    ;)

So jforb, where would the best place to inject the hydroxy be? Before or after this temp sensor (& why)?

    Thanks in advance,

    AH

  • I appreciate somebody doing an install of the smack. Thanks for your construction and install videos.

The sensor you pulled out of the intake is not the O2 sensor. That is the air temperature sensor. The O2 sensor is underneath the vehicle screwed into the exhaust pipe next to the exhaust header.

I'll be interseted to see what your MPG results are.

    Keep posting, thanks,

    MrBill

  • I don't know where the best place would be. Since the gas mixture from the hydrolizer is at a stoichiometric ratio for combustion, if you introduce it before the airflow measurement device, it will richen the mixture slightly (because it displaces some air). Might first want to determine if your engine uses a Mass Airflow Sensor, or if it's a speed-density system.

Understanding how engines work would be a good start, of course. That's not something I can explain in a youtube comment box.
