A simple lullaby about how much I love babies. A little something old-fashioned to warm the cockles of your heart in our materialist society.
Album DOODLEBUG ALLEY - www.myspace.com/judecowan

Climb upon my knees, my Sonny
Put your paw in mine
I'll tell you a sweet story honey
To sing you to sleep on the way to bedtime
For life has been hard
My road has been weary
Till Johnny, the day I found you
Rest easy for no one shall take you, my dearest,
What monster could part with you?

When I saw you in the supermarket
I held my breath like ice
With your rosebud lips and your eyes of blue
As blue as my heart's desire for you
In that moment the world stood still
The gates of Waitrose gaped wide as your smile
I grabbed you and I kissed you
sure nobody missed you
And you weren't a stranger
It's so worth the danger
To cuddle my baby to bye byes tonight

Suck your soothing syrup dummy
Keep so nice and quiet
You're lucky to have such a popular mummy
But let's not encourage a riot

Just a drop of traveleze
And a squidge of temazapan
To moiston your quivering tongue
Not too much - remember young Juliet
She had a plan
And look how horribly that one went wrong

Is it a crime for a woman who burns with a passion
To act out her secret desires
They wouldn't, they couldn't send a loving mother to prison
Before we'll be parted I'll set us on fire

When I saw you in the supermarket
I held my breath like ice
With your rosebud lips
And your eyes of blue
As blue as my heart's desire for you
In that moment the world stopped still
The gates of Waitrose gaped wide as your smile
I grabbed you and I kissed you
Sure nobody missed you
And you weren't a stranger
It's so worth the danger
And I wasn't looking
But before you there was nothing
And now I'm so happy
To cuddle my baby
Who'll never betray me
Though they may portray me
As a cruel evil lady
Money won't sway me
Who cares what they pay me
So long as I may see
And cuddle my baby

Hush

I'll turn out the light

And cuddle my baby to bye byes tonight!

  • Sometimes I wish I didn't have a dog. It ran off yesterday and I had to trudge for miles back home in the snow until someone rang me to tell me they had it and then trudge all the way back.

Oh my life is so hard :(

  • My name is John. I just downloaded the cd Jazz Masters - Al Jolson.

I promise to listen more carefully from now on.

    Cheers,
