Actually this looks to be a simple alarm programming issue...as was stated earlier if your tach wire is not connected, or has a faulty connection you will need to program the alarm for voltage checking instead of tach checking. This should completely resolve the issue.

Hey, I'm having a problem with durango viper alarm. I can't get the dang thing to program can anyone help who know how to program a replacement remote to a viper alarm. I can give you the model on contact. Thanks

Check the tach wire.

You need a bypass module. 25 bucks at a local oreilly auto parts store. Same problem with my truck.

that is not a bypass problem. that is a TACH problem.
