Today I will travel to my mom and dad for christmas holidays and I wear this hairstyle for the train ride. I really love this hairstyle for traveling and sport. It's really comfortable, flat (important for a long train ride), stable and looks kinda cute, I think :D. My friend call it the "gordian knot", because it looks so complicated ;D

If your hair is longer, just continue to weave your hair through the dutch braids like shoelace ;)

I wish you a merry Christmas and happy New Year! :)

  • Music? Who is the vocalist?

  • @pineapplesontrees It's an opera of Händel "Orlando: Verdi piante, erbette liete", and the vocalist is Sandrine Piau :)

  • Thanks for the inspiration. My hair is not as long as yours, but it was long enough to do a variation on your bun. It's so fancy looking I love it.

  • Very pretty! I hope to try it soon!

  • Gorgeous, I want to try this! I know what you mean about it being flat, I tend to do a braided or rose bun for travel but this looks a lot more secure and really pretty too!

  • Very cute

  • I love this! I tried out this hairstyle after watching the tutorial and everyone thought it was so cute and fancy. Thanks so much!

  • What a lovely style! And such nice music!

  • So beautiful, I'm going to wear it tomorrow :)

  • This is gorgeous. I can see how this is more comfortable than a normal bun... with some buns sometimes I feel like I have a loaf of bread on the back of my head! As for the bobby pins, have you ever tried hair pins? Hair pins have no tension, unlike bobby pins, an may work good in this style. Thank you for sharing...have a safe train ride to your parents and a Joyous Christmas!! Debbie in Chicago

  • I love this so much!!!! So beautiful.
