What is new in KDE 4.7 RC1 ?
- Faster KWin Manager
- New shadow system
- New snap borders
- Minimize the visual clutter in Dolphin file manager
- Navigation on top in Kickoff menu
- Calendar now have holidays displayed in it
- Oxygen theme and Oxygen GTK refinements
- Some modifications in System Settings
- ....
This was recorded on Arch Linux with KDE 4.7 RC1.

I've set it up quite a few times actually. And in comparison to other kernels like Ubuntu etc it's rather annoying to setup. But it's definitely worth the process. It's a lot like Kubuntu, but better and more fluid.

@bkroberts89 I used to think like you, but take your time, read documentation on how to install Arch on Wiki, and after two times you will see how easy it is :)
