Their Facebook info states:
"Our mission is to file copyright claims so that ads will be placed onto certain videos, and we will be able to make money off of them. We do not seek to have anyone's videos blocked in certain countries or disabled altogether, all we are trying to do is make a bit of money. That's not so bad, is it?"

how do you file for content id?

and btw, from what I understand, if you montize your vid right after (on) upload, it somehow protects you from this (but I might be wrong).

no, I was wondering how simple it is to file thoes (false) content ID claims.

did a little searching since I made that comment, and seems like you have to apply first to be a content ID'er (kinda like a partner?) but I'm guessing they (you-tube) aren't doing too good of a job of only letting the right ppl get it.

@eyallev i see, it is difficult to understand how this could happen. YT must be taking action, for mprcs has not filed claims on my uploads for 3 wks. It used to be a daily multiple event.
