At last, we have fulfilled one of our primary objectives: we've trapped Gehn in the prison book. According to Catherine, the combination to her prison is somewhere in Gehn's office on the 233rd Age, so we look around in an attempt to find it.

Kortee'nea (I think that's the right spelling) is the D'ni word for a blank book, a linking or descriptive book that hasn't been written in yet.

Not sure. Not D'ni, that's for sure. She may have been human, but I'm not sure, she may have been from another Age. I think The Book of Atrus (the novel) might mention this, but I don't have that here right now, so I can't check.

Not all words are known of Keta's speech, but she said "Is it ready? (???) Peace be with you. (???) You know I will always love you to the greatest extent."

@stuehleruecker If you do that, he'll say the same speech, but at the end asking you to retrieve the book. But can you die returning AFTER that without the book?

@vabvaab I think you can also die if you come to Gehn without getting the stolen prison book back before. I managed that once and he shot me. Apparently you are useless for him without the prison book (which he thinks is a linking book to Myst).

Maybe someone already pointed this out, but you can actually DIE in Riven. If you keep on coming back and calling Gehn, but don't ever use the prison book, he will eventually shoot you with that rifle thing he's always carrying.

I think rather than the sea falling, Ghen just sucked at writing ages, and thus, made mountains on top of mountains.

I could be remembering something wrong, but isn't there a slightly different way this scene could play out?

I seem to remember that if you did something different (maybe meet Gehn before going to Tay?) that when you link back to the 233rd Age, Gehn's already in the lab waiting for you.

Can you use the linking books while outside of the cage while it is up?
