I took my air box out too, it sounds loud but it becomes heat soaked so quickly you actually lose power. I have an AEM one now and it sounds just as mean without heat soak and loss of power.

when i take the air filter box of my s2k, it even sounds louder thin this, it sounds like a monster

is that just the k&n filter , or cold air intake? taking the housing off the filter cone would sound like a ram air (allmost identicle to that ) but you suffer preformance gains because the thermal soak (aka: sucking in hot engine air) that box was designed to wer sonuud and mainly reduce heat intake

sounds alot like mine kind of looks like mine to.. except mines got alot more depth in it as i've removed my housing to my filter.. can hear it suck plus make it sound deeper :)
