@mrbeate It was a stupid movie, and it's always stupid when they americanize these things. One thing I really hated about it was that Jet Li was the Monkey King??? I mean seriously, you have an actor like Jackie Chan, who IS the monkey king. I mean, really? That was an awful casting choice. Jackie Chan spent most of his life doing "monkey king-ish" antics.

@Duanaces The forbidden kingdom wasnt a bad film but clearly the story was so twisted into making it fit the 'white kid' in the movie which is kinda annoying. I mean the monkey king turning into stone, the fight with jade warlord, powerless without his stick was all bs. Thats how its done in hollywood and they make lots of money so they dont give a damn. Same with the new karate kid movie when Its clearly kung fu.

lol asganistan I was like"wtf he is talking about lol" by the way forbiden kingdom is a good USA movie but the real story of monkey King is way way way way way better (well you canot compare!) and I am french so I just discover this by myself. Go read the book people :D
