This is different from a lot of the other covers. Most of them are playing from a sheet, and it has none of the feeling of the original, but this has all the emotion from the original and more. It's not played by rote, it's played as an extension of the soul, and that's the thing that makes it real art.
So I answered my own question and yes of course they are both in Db. I started figuring it out a bit as I am presently sitting in front of the piano working it out. And there are some things that totally feel like Debussy. Love it. So pretty!
You play this very well! The first time I watched DTB, and got to that particular episode, I was instantly hit with a flash of Debussy. I would assume, as a pianist, you also know "Claire de Lune". I was wondering, is "Yin no Piano" also in Db major? It sounds like it is. Funny, of course, "Claire de Lune" means "Moonlight"... I wonder if that was Yoko Konna's intention? Any thoughts?
after watching darker than black, i couldn't get enough of yin's piano and no one's home. gakkuobosatsu no namida from the second season was really good too.
best user version I've seen on youtube so far, 5/5
although I did notice that a few left hand jumps were shorter than Yoko Kanno's original, and a couple of notes were missing. Not sure if you did it on purpose.
