Mortal Kombat was alot better than Street Fighter,at least it stuck as close to the game plot as possible,the characters were believable in their roles and had all the signature moves.SF on the other hand had a ridiculous story,poor character representation and some of the worst fighting sequences ever.Id say the movies The Quest and Bloodsport are closer to street fighter than the real film.

@Danimite54 I agree, the first Mortal Kombat movie is entierly passable. I mean it's stupid and bland, but at least it delivers what we want from such a movie, action! Also, there is kind of a hero's tale going with Liu Kang that has to accept the fact that "earthrealm" is fucked without him, with lots of cool character progression on the side.
