We fly over the Magellan Strait as we head for Ushuaia in Southern Argentina. Ushuaia is the port used for many of the Polar boats that head for Antarctica, as we are only 1000Km from Antarctica.
Whilst here we visit the 'Tren Del Fin Del Mundo' - the end of the world train, as it is the most southerly railway in the world, as well as seeing part of the Tierra del Fuego National Park.
To round off the day, we take a boat trip out into Ushuaia Bay to see abundance of wildlife.
Due to the camera suffering from the harsh conditions earlier in the trip, there are some errors on this video.
The journey was part of a longer trip through Chile and Argentina in January / February 1996, and organised by Ffestiniog Travel.

MIDNITENOWHERE 10 months ago
@MIDNITENOWHERE It´s not electrified because it is a "Museum Train" . Very beautiful.

Nice train and wagons model !
Why this lowest austral line is not electrified yet ??
Do you use railway transport even in Üshuaïa city centre or just for the island tour only?
