@HyperYoshi798 Thanks a lot, but nah that's not it. It was more similar to the beginning of Ecstasy of Gold, just a bit faster and deeper/more sad.

@MarikBentusi Maybe you're thinking of the children's song "The Ants go Marching"? That's what I thought of when I heard this song for the first time.

@GuiltusGrahdus He shouldn't have, at all...the sound tracks are fine. In fact, he's making a sequel now I believe..

Peter McConnell is the best video game composer.

This track is awesome just like everything about the game but I have just one regret. Everyone remember the days of Billy and Mandy cartoons? Their best episode, "Little Green Rock of Horrors," was orchestrated to the tune of Brains. The guy who wrote it is an actual musician by the name of Voltaire. My point is Tim Schafer should have put one of "Voltaire's songs in the game. I have my own ideas on how to incoporate music into a sequel to Psychonauts. People just look up "Zombie Prostitue."

this game was so F-ing good because it made EVERYONE who played it feel like a psychonaut. one of the crucial characteristics of a great game

This tune is both heroic and tragic. Ford Cruller must have been one of the most powerful psychonauts in his days, before the battle that crippled his mind. You know, after that he was deemed useless by all psychonauts, except for Sasha and Milla. This man is a true hero.

Even though I was only about 15 when Psychonauts was released, this track still makes me think back to the days of Grim Fandango. Something nostalgic and warming about the music in Tim Schafer games. In my opinion; Tim Schafer is the best games designer of all time. /25th time listening to this song
This is, without a doubt, my favorite song in the game. There's just something about it that makes you feel both calm and brave... makes you feel almost like a true Psychonaut.
I also just have a fondness for horn solos with this particular sound. Not quite major, not quite minor, soft yet powerful. (Or horn solos in general. Before I got braces, I played the French horn in band. Beautiful instrument.)
