Wild Dog has a lucky escape.

I stalked in to this dog sunning himself on a log in the morning sun,. He saw some movement and then did something I was totally un prepared for, he came at me at a run to have a closer look.
It turned out to be a good move on his part as he got away clean.
An interesting side note to this story is my hunting buddy called the same dog in the morning before thisin exactly the same location. He was also taken by suprise and rushed his shot. Odd that the dog came back the next day.

incredible how he came right up to you, does that happen often? it would be handy if you had a shotty next to you then, its too hard to shoot with a scope up close,
