  • Every time I sit and think about all the knowhow and calculations involved in just getting that TV stream from the ground to the satellite and back again, it makes my brain hurt.

Amazing that so often we just turn on the digibox, sit back and watch for hours and hours and never even consider all of this technology and work. Crazy stuff.

  • Thank you so much for posting this video! This helps so much with my project on satellites and orbits!

  • Thanks for such an interesting video. Can't you post the film about SES Astra. I have a case studying about SES, I have heard, that there is a film about SES full history, but I didn't managed to find that, so if anyone can, it would be very big help for me.

  • this is why we can tell, human is the most intelligent species

  • Wow, i use to love watching these Astra Satellite information service, you learn so much from satellite technology and how they are launch, i would watch this for hours on end. Thanks for the upload.

  • pff that's all propaganda... Chuck Norris launches satellites... not rockets

  • thanks for the vid because we have a class project about this!

  • great

  • YEA rdeveloper you are a boy genius...

They said conception, planning development, etc... it takes awhile and companies dont just throw crap together to send it to space. It takes time you moron.. And your last comment.. "8th grader can do it" seriously. I am sure JPL, Lockheed, Northrup, NASA.. they all hire people based on some sort of education and the percentage of people that didnt enter high school is probably really low or non-existent.

Off the shelf .. what a dork !!

  • it does not take 3-5 years to complete a satellite; it merely assemble a computer 3-5 months only, everythings are off the shelf and they are quite straight forward; nothing new nothing special. 8th grader can do it.
