The Iberian lynx, Lynx pardinus, is a critically endangered species native to the Iberian Peninsula in Southern Europe. It is currently the rarest cat species in the world.
This Lynx family was filmed in the Sierra de Andujar National Park in Andalucia, Spain. The female, 'Elam' is radio-collared to enable further research study. It was filmed using a combination of a Swarovski ATS65HD Telescope, the superb 25x50WA Zoom Eyepiece, a DCA and a Panasonic Lumix G2 Camera in September 2011.
